About Us

Hi, I'm Kar Yee - the hands behind every stitch.

What started as a quiet creative outlet has grown into a love letter to craft, culture and considered living. Each bag you'll find here is handmade by me, using recycled and sustainable materials wherever possible. No factories, no mass production - just yarn, a hook, and hours of slow, intentional work.

Originally launched as KSistersStudio in 2023, before a rename to MUI - a name inspired by the Cantonese word mui mui ("little sister") - this brand began as a personal way of reconnecting with my roots. My sisters inspired the very first collection: bold, playful and full of colour. Over time, the collection has grown to include soft, grounded neutrals, giving you pieces that feel just as good to wear as they do to support.

In this new chapter under my own name, I'm embracing all the parts of my story: the experiments, the identity shifts, and the messy middle of figuring things out. This space is part portfolio, part shop and part journal - a place where craft and storytelling meet.
